UPS hosted the annual IPNDV conference

This year the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has chosen our Institute as an organizing partner for this year’s International Partnership for Nuclear Disarmament Verification (IPNDV) conference. The nuclear arms control and disarmament forum is annually hosting over 25 participating countries since 2015.

Our director, Balázs Mártonffy, emphasized in his opening speech that great-power competition has a fundamental impact on nuclear armament matters. in line with the growing tension in the multipolar world he emphasized that "it will become increasingly difficult to isolate nuclear disarmament and treat it separately from other aspects of international politics."
